I thought I was the only one wearing multiple hats working at the JCC. I had to register for a job track before arriving. Should I register for aquatics, sports, or day camp? I l decided to register for youth and teens, as this incorporates much of what I do at the JCC, but can I attend aquatics talks too? And I really want to learn about marketing, so can I attend those seminars also? The answer to these questions came from a few emails that I sent before I got to the conference. An emphatic “yes”. I was able to attend any sessions that I wanted. Cafeteria style, that’s my kind of conference, lots of choices. After sitting through the “connecting with millenium moms”, “social networking”, “aquatics programming”, and “youth and teen programming”, I found that I’m not the only one wearing multiple hats.
I’ve met wonderful, energetic, open minded JCC’ers from around the country and Canada. I’ve exchanged business cards, I’ve made connections. I will make new facebook friends, and I’ll will continue to be in awe of what the JCCA does for people like me.
