You must be the change you want to see in the world (Ghandi) Websites, Smart Phones, YouTube, Flicker, FaceBook, FourSquares, iPad, my, oh my have we come a long way since my last conference 8 years ago. Who knew that a millenial mom is not a candy bar or Ben & Jerry’s ice cream? We have so much opportunity at our fingertips and we need to convince ourselves that it is okay to be the change agent at our J while embracing 21st century technology. Alan Finkelstein said that we are no longer able to engage in lengthy processes of change, that we need to act now and be risk takers. We need to introduce new ideas, influence new programs, experience diversity – all in a mult-facted way which reaches out to children, seniors, adults and most importantly our millenial mom. So much of the conference so far has been filled with amazing ideas, techniques and energy that we need to bottle and package to our members. I hope that the 7 of us from Houston can inspire the rest of our staff to embrace the 21st century tools and to be our own change agents. Please, pretty please pick me for an iPad!
