Organizes and leads our community consulting team and manages our executive leadership programs: the Executive Leadership Seminar (ELS) and Kivinum (a leadership development program for first time executives).
Session Title #1: Getting to Know JCC Association’s President and CEO—and Each Other
Speaker: Doron Krakow, President and CEO, JCC Association
Description: Doron Krakow, president and CEO of JCC Association will join us to share his vision and dialogue to hear your ideas. This interactive session will also provide an opportunity to share collegial successes
Session Title #2: Executive Competencies
Description: Participants will spend 40 minutes in two breakouts led by fellow COO/AED professionals in various executive competencies, including Financial Management, Financial Resource Development, Governance, Jewish Commitment, Strategic Thinking, and Staff Management.
Session Title #3: Leadership During Crisis (Joint Session with Executive Directors)
Speakers: Brian Schreiber, CEO of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh and Yotam Polizer, co-CEO, IsraAID will lead a conversation in how JCC leaders can prepare to face a crisis.
Description: Regaining control in situations that are by their very nature “out of control,” and beyond one’s ability to control, tests senior staffs’ accountability, resilience, flexibility, and creativity.
Session Title #4: Introduction to Leadership Coaching
Speaker: Marci Mayer Eisen, MSW, ACC, Director, Millstone Institute/JProStl
Description: What is leadership coaching and how can it be used to complement management skills? Experience the basics of coaching through powerful questions that allow others to explore their options, identify roadblocks and take responsibility for their own commitments. We will explore how to advance a culture of inquiry to authentically empower others.
Session Title #5: Programmatic and Operational Proficiencies
Description: This session’s discussions will be led by fellow COO/AED professionals focusing on program successes and operational competencies. Participants will first learn about programming successes from around the movement and then participate in round table discussions on operational skills and practices with their colleagues from other JCCs.
